Why Oncology?

Cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, and the role of specialized oncology nurses is more critical than ever. As a rapidly growing field, oncology offers nursing professionals a chance to:

However, many aspiring nurses face financial barriers when pursuing higher education in this vital specialty. Recognizing this challenge, the Kanakam Foundation has stepped in to offer zero tuition fees to unprivileged female nursing students who wish to pursue advanced education in oncology

During the awareness program, nursing students were introduced to:

• The growing demand for oncology nurses and the various roles they can take on.
• Key benefits of obtaining an MSc/PG Diploma in Oncology.
• Scholarship opportunities provided by the Kanakam Foundation, which offers a fully sponsored, zero tuition fee program to underprivileged female students

By eliminating the financial burden, we aim to help these bright, motivated women reach their full potential and make a lasting impact in the fight against cancer.
