Bystanders of cancer patients at hospitals often face severe financial difficulties, forcing families below the poverty line and leading to food insecurity. Over 214,500 cancer patients are treated annually, but despite Delhi's government-run night shelters and NGO-provided meals, many bystanders remain underserved. This highlights a broader healthcare issue: a lack of support for bystanders creates unmet demands for meal programs.
At Kanakam Foundation, we are committed to addressing this gap. Every day, we serve nutritious meals to bystanders of cancer patients, who are often neglected during the stay in the hospital. Through this initiative we ensure that they receive quality food as they look after and support their loved ones. Our meals, comprising Rice, Roti, Dal, and Sabzi, are designed to provide the essential nourishment these individuals need during their challenging times.
