Campaign for Blood donor - 'Swab, Donate, Save'

Conducts Stem Cell Awareness Campaign & Donor Registry at Institution of Radiology and Pathology

The Kanakam Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to transforming lives through life-saving medical solutions, conducted an impact-full Stem Cell Awareness Campaign. This initiative aimed to educate students, staff, and the general public about the importance of stem cell donations, and how they can save lives.

Event Highlights:

  • Awareness Sessions: The event began with seminars on stem cell donation, its process, and how these life-saving cells can cure over 70 different blood disorders, including leukemia and other forms of cancer. The audience was introduced to inspiring stories of individuals whose lives were saved by stem cell transplants.
  • Donor Registry Drive: Attendees were invited to join the global fight against life-threatening diseases by becoming potential stem cell donors. Our on-site donor registration booth allowed individuals to sign up quickly and easily for the national donor registry. By joining this registry, each individual became a potential match for someone in need of a stem cell transplant.
  • Swab Kit Registration:One of the most critical steps in joining the stem cell registry is the simple cheek swab. The Kanakam Foundation provided free swab kits for attendees, making it easy for participants to be registered on the spot. Trained volunteers guided participants through the painless swab process, explaining how these samples will help identify genetic matches for patients in need.

Be the match. Beat the Blood Cancer!

Kanakam Foundation urges individuals to come forward, learn about the power of stem cells, and consider becoming a donor. You never know - your stem cells could be the match someone has been waiting for.

Together, we can save lives!
